Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council is a collaborative and consultative body of parishioners who, along with the Pastor and parish staff members, seek to understand the pastoral needs and issues of the parish community and to identify ways in which the parish can effectively minister and respond to those realities.

The Pastoral Council is composed of:
1. Nine Parish Representatives;
2. One Youth Representative;
3. Three members appointed by the Pastor;
4. A Finance Council Representative;
5. A Monsignor Slade School Representative;
6. The Pastor and Staff participate as ex officio members.

The Pastoral Council promotes pastoral action through prayer, reflection, dialogue and planning and helps the parish community to:

1. Be in touch with its identity and its values;
2. Articulate its mission and vision;
3. Identify and implement achievable goals.

An important instrument that helps our parish accomplish as effectively as possible our mission as a Catholic famith community is the Parish Pastoral Plan , developed annually by the Pastoral Council. The Pastoral Plan is organized around five fundamental areas of parish life:

1. Worship
2. Social Outreach
3. Faith Formation
4. Community Life
5. Stewardship

In each area, general Goals are identified by the Pastoral Council and more specific Objectives are prepared by Staff, with each year's complete Pastoral Plan being affirmed by the Pastoral Council. The Plan then serves as the guide and reference point as Council and Staff work together in support of the parish's many activities, ministries, programs and initiatives throughout the pastoral year. Progress toward the accomplishment of the Plan's goal is monitored throughout the pastoral year. At the end of the pastoral year, Staff and Council review and evaluate the concluding year and begin the process of developing a new plan for the next pastoral year.
