RCIA
The RCIA process, a sacramental initiation ministry, at Holy Trinity
Parish involves the entire community who offers its support and
prayers through its active participation in preparation sessions,
in the rites, and in the celebrations. The community, who gathers
for Sunday liturgy, especially witnesses to and affirms the process
and its participants throughout the entire liturgical year.
A team of catechists and administrators ministers to those special
persons not yet baptized (catechumen) who, recognizing the movement
of the Holy spirit in their lives, have come to begin and to successfully
complete the steps and rites leading to their reception into the
Church at the Easter Vigil.
In addition to those not yet baptized in Christ, others present
themselves who have been baptized in the Catholic Church but who
have not yet been fully catechized in the sacraments of initiation
and in the scriptures and tradition of the church (candidate). During
the RCIA process they seek a stronger faith formation in the Catholic
faith and after sacramental preparation seek full communion with
the Catholic Church, through reception of Confirmation and Eucharist.
Those who arrive from another faith tradition and who will continue
their faith formation in the Catholic faith tradition join the RCIA
process and are encouraged to begin discernment and preparations
for the initiation sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist).

Children's Initiation Process
The parish process that parallels the RCIA process but is
adapted for children ages 7 through 17.
At various rites and celebrations, the children who are preparing
for the Initiation sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist,
join with the adults who are in the RCIA process to support and
encourage one another in their own faith journey. Together they
will be received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil liturgy.
